Glimpses with the students during visits and excursions to Industrial Plant, Mines. The department strongly encourages students to take part in open air activities including camping in nature, trekking etc.

Students are taken on a guided tour to visit the modern research institutes, like lACS, IICB, Bose Institute, SN Bose center for Basic Sciences, Science Musuem. They are encouraged to attend lectures of the eminent scientists and Nobel laureates whenever such an opportune moment knocks at the door.

They are introduced to the scientists in the field to enkindle their dreams in their warm presence.
